We were shocked and saddened to learn of your passing. We're frequent guests of the Grand Geneva. You will be deeply missed.

I was blessed to know Samantha only a short time when we worked at Office Max together. We were all like a little family there, like brothers and sisters. She was always fun to work with, smiling, and a true and genuine person. She was a hard worker and sweet, and I always enjoyed working with her. On my last day she gave me a hug and wished me the best. It's so tragic that such a bright star now only shines in heaven - I'll miss you Sam, but I am thanking God I had the privilege of knowing you.

I was one of Samantha's Brownie/Girl Scout Leaders when she was in grade school at St. Anastasia in Waukegan. She was a very enthusiastic Brownie. Her dad and Grandpa Jack sold tons of cookies for Troop 1072!! Sam's grandma came to one of our meetings and helped the girls make Christmas wreaths. Such good people!! I just pulled out the old scrapbooks and Sam is smiling or making a funny face in all of the photos. She rarely missed a meeting and loved the animal badges. There is a v cute photo of her in a popcorn sweater she "created and modeled" for a fashion show. Big, big smile on her sweet face. Such v good memories of those days. I am so sorry for your loss.

I had the pleasure of working with Sam at the Grand Geneva a few years ago. I worked at the Concierge desk and she worked in the dining room right next to my desk. We shared many smiles and conversations over the years and would occasionally have lunch together in the cafeteria. I found her to be kind and caring with a big heart. She was also a dedicated worker and cared very much about doing a good job and helping the guests. Right before Christmas she helped me and my family with our dinner reservation as we kept changing the time! She seated us and was so helpful and kind and as sweet as always. I am grateful that I had the chance to see her and talk to her again and best of all to give her a big hug. I will remember her always. God Bless you Sam.

Samantha was a light in our store. She left notes at the register at night for the early morning crew, always with happy wishes and smiley faces. I didn't work long with her but I know she was a favorite among all of us!
I know words cannot help much at this most difficult time in your lives but I wanted to let you know that while you, as her parents, knew Samantha was special, those not related to her also found her amazing. Peace and healing to all of you.
