Joan you were always kind and in good spirits even in hard times. A phrase we would laugh about was how you loved to wine. May God keep you in his arms till the day we meet again. Fly among the angels as your spirit on earth with always continue and be remembered Joan.

Our hearts go out to everyone in Joan's family. She was one of the most positive inspirational people we have ever met. Never complaining --always there for everyone and never thinking of herself! She will be so missed. Thoughts and prayers. Our love.

We first met Joanie when the Jewel opened in Spring Grove. We recognized the last name because George was coaching golf at PHS and Brian had been one of his players, oh so many years ago. (Brian was famous for lip outs!). We asked Joan if she was related...and got to know her quite well over the years. Joan and Merlin both had cancer and spent time commiserating over the course of treatment. Merlin was Stage one. Joanie was stage four. We prayed for her, hugged her and loved her. We know your family has suffered with her, and that she is no longer suffering. Our prayers are with you as you lay your sister to rest. May God be with you all. So sorry we are unable to be there to express our sympathy in person, but we are leaving town in the morning.

Our darling Joan touched so many people in her very short life.
She has always been the glue for her family and nieces and nephews
She was always taking care of everyone.
Joan never complained and you never she her in a bad mood. She was always upbeat and positive
Joan will be missed by her brothers her sisters and all of her cousins and friends. She was taken too soon and our hearts are broken by her passing. All should know the heavens have chosen a very bright angel A angel we can talk to and help us during thi very difficult time. Fly away our butterfly into your eternal life
