Aunt JoAnn & Uncle Art were the aunt and uncle to whom I always felt closest. He was a hero to me, she was a sweetheart with intellect and together they were fabulous marriage role models.
She loved to entertain all comers by playing her beloved record of two dry-humored comedians from Main. I still use their punchline, "You can't get there from here" and instantly recall Aunt JoAnn always looking at me for my laughter as she anticipated the guys arriving at that punchline to a very long story about directions from a country home. Her smile lit up the room as Uncle Art's cackle filled the house. To have had them in my life was a blessing from God. So are memories.
