Doug and family - Very sorry to hear of Don's passing. He gave me my first start in the journalism field as a young, 23 year old kid back in 1994, and I enjoyed the chance to work for him. Always treated me fairly and with respect, and I always appreciated that. My very best to you and your family as you remember him. Dan Truttschel

Dear Doug, so sorry for your loss. When Barb and I moved here permanently in 1970 we went to all the UW football games that fall. We didn't know many year around people so we palled with the Gerbers,Brellenthins,McCulloughs and Bearders every Saturday game day. We also hung with the Hillmoor crowd of which your dad was a charter member. When I started the radio station Don was very encouraging. He loved Lake Geneva and UW football. I also know he was a great father. Barb and I wish you the best in this difficult time. Sincerely,Kwiker.
