William (Bill) F. Nimmow passed away peacefully at home in Lake Geneva surrounded by family on Saturday, June 19th, 2021, after a hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer.
Bill will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 33 years, Sally, his children, Andrea (Erik) Norslien, Kari Nimmow, Will (Liz) Nimmow and Connor Nimmow. Bill found much pride and pleasure in spending time with his 7 grandchildren, Mitchell, Seth, Gage & Madden Norslien, Nadia Nimmow, and Brody & Zoey Nimmow. He is further survived by his brother, Ted (Mary) Koenecke, his mother-in-law Monica Huesing, many sisters-in-laws & brothers-in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews and his faithful furry companion Gizmo. He was preceded in death by his parents Ester and Waldemar Nimmow.
Bill’s love for and from his family and friends, along with his strong faith and trust in the Lord, helped him find peace during his difficult journey and he now rests easy in God’s arms. He left us with beautiful memories, his love is still our guide and though we cannot see him, we know that he is always by our side.
As a father, he was one of a kind, a rare breed. He had the ability to encourage and support his children, to bring out their best. He always knew how to pick them up when they were down, bring a smile to their face when needed, and always let them know that no matter what, he was proud of them and would support their dreams and goals.
Our family would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to Dr Virani, his staff at the Lombardi Cancer Clinic in Burlington, along with the nurses from Aurora at Home Hospice for the exceptional and compassionate care throughout Bill’s journey.
A Celebration of Life will be July 11th, 2021, at The Ridge Hotel on Hwy 50 in Lake Geneva from 11a.m. till 1p.m.
In lieu of flowers, Bill asked that donations be made to Big Brother Big Sister of Walworth County, 1545 Hobbs Dr in Delavan, WI 53115.
