Troy Baker, 41, of the Lake Geneva area passed away unexpectedly at his home on September 26, 2020.
Born Troy Lynn Baker to Sam and Kay (Gunterman) Baker in Midland, Michigan on June 29th, 1979. Troy was a member of the graduating class of 1998 from Midland High School.
Troy was married to Sam Eagan in Lake Geneva and have shared their lives together since October of 2009.
Troy loved to fly and learned to fly at an early age with lessons purchased by his dad. With the lessons Troy went on to become a commercial pilot for American Airlines. Troy was a member of the Golden Glow Christmas Club and was an active member of the LGBT Community of Walworth County and was an excellent cook. Troy loved to visit Disneyland and Paris and just loved to travel with his Husband by his side, Sam. Troy and Sam enjoyed the holidays and they would host fun holiday parties where the house was filled with joy, laughter and delicious food. Troy loved his dachshund pooches patty Wagstaff and Rocco and always held a special place in his heart Amelia Madonna Lou who passed away.
Troy dreamed of becoming a father and in November of 2017 Troy and his husband Sam started their surrogate journey and on October 31, 2018 they were blessed with a little girl, Adelynn Baker.
Troy was thoughtful and gracious to all that knew him. He had a silly sense of humor, an infectious smile, and will be remembered for all the great laughs with him. Troy will be greatly missed. He was a truly wonderful kind of soul.
Troy is survived by his spouse, Sam and his daughter Adelynn. His mother Kay and 2 sisters: Tammy Kerr of Midland, Michigan and Kendra (Jim) Schaedig of Florida all survive Troy. Troy was preceded in death by his father, Sam, and one sister, Vicki.
Services for Troy will be held on Friday October 2, 2020 at 5:00pm in the main chapel of Derrick Funeral Home in Lake Geneva. Visitation will be held on October 2nd from 3:00pm till the time of service. After the service their will be a reception to follow at Troy and Sam's home.

There will be an additional visitation and funeral held for Troy at Smith Miner Funeral Home in Midland Michigan on Wednesday October 7, 2020. Visitation will be from 11:00am till 1:00pm with service to immediately follow.
