Thomas Lee Kehl, 74, of Genoa City, WI passed away Tuesday, August 29th, 2023.
Thomas was born on September 17th, 1948 in Paola, Kansas, to his loving parents, Nuel and Elizabeth (Olsem) Kehl. Thomas graduated from Cary Grove High School in 1966 and in January of 1968 he entered the United States Navy. On October 8th, 1999 married the love of his life, Ann Livingston, in Nashville, Indiana and together they shared a beautiful life with their three sons, Joshua, Nicholas, and Michael.
Thomas spent years working in the medical manufacturing field as a machinist for Hollister Incorporated. He was involved in several different clubs and organizations and spent most time giving back as a member of American Legion Post 24 and as a volunteer at the Rotary Gardens.
He was a Master of many things - most especially in gardening and grilling. He had a great love for horses, woodworking, farming, tractors, hot rods, classic cars, raising chickens and breeding Akitas. He also enjoyed reading, camping, and sipping on a nice cold beer! Thomas loved spending time with his family and friends - especially his grandchildren and his dogs.
He is survived by his wife, Ann, and their three children, Joshua (Afton) and Nicholas (Anna) Kehl, and Michael Afflerbaugh. His sister, Shauneen Kehl, his brother; Jim (Julie) Kehl, and five grandchildren Landen Kehl, Sidney Kehl, Nolan Kehl, Sienna Kehl, and Jacob Afflerbaugh. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Nule and Elizabeth Kehl, and his two brothers, Jerry and Steve Kehl.
Services for Thomas will be held on Saturday, September 30th, 2023 at Derrick Funeral Home in Lake Geneva, WI. The visitation will be held from 11am-1pm with the funeral service beginning promptly at 1pm and Military Honors immediately to follow the service.
