Martin (Marty) P. Baker, 71, of Lake Geneva passed away peacefully at his home on September 23rd, 2020.
Martin Phillip Baker was born to the late Allen and Ruth (Flemming) Baker on March 30th, 1949 in Burlington, Wisconsin. Marty was a member of the graduating class of 1967 from Badger High School in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
Marty was a member of the Lyons Sno-Bums Snowmobile Club and he sat on the cemetery board for Springfield Union Cemetery. Marty was an avid NASCAR fan and absolutely loved the UW Badgers.
Marty is survived by his wife, Bobbi, of 28 years. He is also survived by his 5 children: Kim Burkoth of Pell Lake, Brad (Rebecca) Baker of Delavan, Laura (Todd) Peterson of Lyons, Alyssa Baker of Lake Geneva, and Danielle (Austin Smith) Baker of Lake Geneva. Along with his wife and children, he is survived by his 8 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild. He is also survived by 3 brothers: Bill (Eva) Baker of Burlington, Paul (Doreen) Baker of Madison, and Brian (Tracie) Baker of Springfield, Wisconsin. Marty was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Steve.
A service for Marty will be held on Sunday, October 4th, 2020 at 4:00pm in the main chapel of Derrick’s Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on October 4th, 2020 from 2:00pm till the time of the service.
