Marilyn Ann Kroupa was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend during her amazing 84 years of life. She passed away peacefully on January 4th, 2023 surrounded by family. Marilyn, with her husband George, owned and operated Caravelle Lighting until their retirement. She had an affinity for numbers which was evident in her meticulous bookkeeping for Caravelle, competitive pinochle playing, and never forgetting a birthday. They loved to travel locally, and internationally, taking many trips with family and friends over the years. As a member and volunteer with various charitable and service organizations, she was always quick to help others. Marilyn had a kind and generous heart. No one could leave her house without a treat in hand. Marilyn was always well dressed with a coordinating outfit and accessories. As a voracious reader, she belonged to various book clubs. Their lakehouse on Pleasant Lake was a special gathering place that Marilyn and George curated with items from their shared history. Always gracious hosts, their home forever had an open door to family and friends from near and far. Marilyn will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Marilyn is survived by her children, Georgette (Ed) Wellhausen, Linda (Bruce) Reek, Jeff Donahue(son-in-law) & Joseph (Monica) Kroupa, as well as her nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband George Kroupa; brother, Daniel Karas; son, Michael Kroupa; daughter, Patricia Donahue.
