Ellen Lou (Housman) Honer

Ellen Lou (Housman) Honer, (84) of Lake Geneva, WI died Saturday morning, December 18, 2021 at the Pine Crest Assisted Living in Lake Geneva. Ellen was born September 2, 1937 in Kenosha, WI, the daughter of Herman and Florence (Moran) Housman. Ellen and Thomas O. Honer, son of Otto & Catherine (Killoy) Honer of Richland Center, WI were married Sept. 26, 1959 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church , Richland Center, WI.

Both Ellen & Tom graduated from the Wisconsin School for the Deaf in Delavan, WI. They both worked at Cheney Instruments in Lake Geneva. Tom passed away in 2015 and Ellen has lived since at Pine Crest Assisted Living, Lake Geneva.

Ellen is survived by her brother Kenneth of Kenosha and brother-in-law, James Honer & wife , Virginia of Madison, WI plus other relatives and friends,

She was predeceased by her parents, three sister’s; Aline, Carol and Alice and Tom’s parents, Otto & Catherine Honer.

A special Thank You to Sue Riek who assisted Tom and Ellen for many years and to the staff at Pine Crest  and Aurora Hospice for their compassionate care of Ellen.

Derrick Funeral and Cremation Service of Lake Geneva is assisting with arrangements. Stafford Funeral Home of Richland Center will assist with inurnment in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Richland Center which will take place at a later date.
