Dolores Grudzinski, 91, of Lake Geneva, WI, passed away in her home on April 27, 2022.
Dolores and her beloved husband, Ted, were married 62 years before his passing in 2019. They lived in Chicago and retired to Wautoma, WI, for ten years before settling in Lake Villa, IL for 22 years. She moved to Lake Geneva, WI in 2020.
They raised five wonderful children: Shirley (Leonard Wysocki), Donald (the late Chris), Theodore (Elizabeth Markgraf), Pamela (Daniel Hannon) and James (Karen). She was the devoted grandmother of 12 grandchildren: Jennifer (Don Likeum), Matthew (Gina) Wysocki; the late Brian (Brandy) Grudzinski, Brad (Jennifer) Grudzinski, Angela (Frank Middleton); Scarlet Markgraf, Sage (Jilly) Grudzinski; Caitlin (Christopher) Grudzinski, Rachel Grudzinski, Ashley Grudzinski; Stephanie Hannon and Michael Hannon.
She was also blessed with 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her siblings Thomas, Agnes, Norbert and Stanley. While living in Wautoma she enjoyed weekly dinners and pinochle with her brothers and sister and missed them dearly after they passed. She was the loving aunt of numerous nieces and nephews and looked forward to any chance to talk or connect with them. On her 90th birthday she was thrilled to have a Zoom party with over 30 attendees sharing great stories, wishes and their love for her.
She enjoyed hosting celebrations, attending celebrations and was the first to invite anyone into her home as a guest. After they retired, Dolores and Ted enjoyed traveling, with several long-distance camping trips and over 25 cruises with different groups of family and friends. After every cruise she couldn’t wait to plan the next. She never wanted to stop cruising, enjoying her final voyage in February 2022.
She enjoyed cooking with a vast array of recipes and books she often shared with her sister Agnes. She also loved music, crocheting and great stories of the past. Her smile and laughter will be missed fondly by all who knew her.
