Dale Henry Buelter, 86, of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on March 14, 2024, at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center.
Dale was born on April 11th, 1937, to the late William and Grace (Barbour) Buelter in Detroit, Michigan. When Dale’s father retired from the Detroit Police force, the family then relocated to Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. He attended Lake Geneva High School where he graduated with his class in 1955. After high school, Dale attended the University of Wisconsin – Madison and later joined the U.S. Army.
On May 16th, 1963, Dale would be united in marriage to Barbara Joan Lock.
Shortly after his time with the U.S. Army, Dale joined Wickes Lumber – first starting in Elkhorn, Wisconsin then relocating to Saginaw, Michigan where he had a long career spanning over 30 years. Shortly after relocating back to Lake Geneva in 1984, Dale launched his own business, DB Event Signage, focusing on PGA Golf Tournaments and other national Sporting events. Because of their love for the Lake Geneva area - Dale and his wife Barbara became involved with the Geneva Lake Museum – helping to make it the beautiful and functional place that it is today.
Dale is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara, his daughter, Christine Ann Scott, Williams Bay, WI, his son, Steven Dale Buelter, Norcross, GA and his grandchildren, Joshua Scott, Colorado Springs, CO, Austin Scott, Colorado Springs, CO and one great grandchild, Gracie Lynn Scott. Dale was proceeded in death by one grandson, Taylor Grayson Scott in February of 2024, his sister, Joan Walker, and his parents.
A Celebration of Dale’s Life will be held on Saturday, April 20th at 1:00PM at the Geneva Lake Museum, 255 Mill Street, Lake Geneva, WI. A gathering of family and friends will take place at the Museum following the service.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, the family has asked to donate in Dale’s name to the Geneva Lake Museum.
