Christine Marie (Lazzaroni) Jordan

           Christine Marie Jordan passed away unexpectedly in her home on July 19, 2022.  Born July 18, 1955, She is the daughter of Vince and Virginia Lazzaroni.  She is survived by her son Kyle Jordan, her siblings Vince (Nancy) Lazzaroni, Sister-in-Law Mary Liz Lazzaroni, Frank (Jan) Lazzaroni, Maria (Tim) Starck, Lisa Lazzaroni, Mark (Jacqui) Lazzaroni, and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.  She is proceeded in death by her parents and her brother Greg Lazzaroni.

            Chris served her country by joining the army after high school.  She decided to live her senior quote “Too often we seek justice for just US”.  After being honorably discharged in 1978 Chris decided to go to college and get a degree in business.  She got a job in the Human Resource department for Walworth County.  Her last job was the Veterans Service Officer for Walworth County.  There she went above and beyond to help any and all veterans that walked through her door.  She even made sure her 98-year-old neighbor made it on the Honor Flight to DC.  Finally, after thirty-one years she retired in 2016. 

            Her life was filled volunteering at several nursing homes, reading with students at East View and packing backpack for kids in Elkhorn.  In her free time, she spent it kayaking, hiking, hunting down antique mid-century furniture and taking care of all of her family’s needs.

            Her favorite place in the world was Devils Lake State Park.  At the age of 61 she decided to swim across Devils Lake.  She was joined by two nieces and all her family cheering her on.

Visitation will be held Wednesday July 26th, 2023 from 3:00pm till 5:00pm in the main chapel of Derrick Funeral Home.  A memorial service, with Military Honors, will be held on July 26th, 2023 at 5:00pm in the main chapel of Derrick Funeral Home

In lieu of flowers her son is requesting a donation be made to the Honor Flight Program , St. Jude’s Hospital or WI State Parks.  All which Chris was an avid supporter.
