Carl Eggert

Carl Edward Eggert, a beloved resident of Wisconsin, formerly of Fox River Grove, IL, passed away peacefully on March 22nd, 2024 at the age of 43.  Born on March 13th, 1981 in Watertown WI, Carl was the son of Bonnie and Carl Eggert of Hayward WI.  He is survived by his cherished daughter Dakota Eggert and his loving siblings Jodi (Seth), Julie, Christopher (Melissa), Carrie (Josh), and Katie (Adam).  Carl was also a dear grandson to Donald Buss. Carl is preceded in death by his brother Chad Eggert, Grandmother Jola Buss, Grandmother Elda Eggert, Grandfather Carl Eggert, Step Grandfather Herbert Meyer, and other relatives.

Carl's passion for the outdoors and construction was evident to all who knew him.  His fondest memories were all those spent with his father.  His family admired his skill and love for fishing and hunting. From a young age, Carl excelled as an enthusiastic wrestler and football player. 

Carl's presence transcended mere existence; he embodied a larger-than-life persona that touched everyone around him. His professional accomplishments were just a part of his profound impact. Carl's legacy is not just in his achievements but in the warmth, compassion, and unforgettable moments he shared with others. Those who were fortunate enough to know him will forever hold dear the memories of his kindness and the lasting impact he left on their lives. His spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of his loved ones, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him.  

In this time of loss, may we find solace in the memories we shared with Carl and in the heritage of kindness and joy he leaves behind.  In Carl's memory, we will be having a celebration of life on May 18th, 2024 at the Waterloo Regional Trailhead from 1 to 5 pm.
