Betty Shaeffer, 81, of Springfield, Wisconsin passed away on November 21, 2021.
Born Betty Jean Baker to the late Everett and Hazel (Nicholas) Baker on April 12, 1940, in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. Betty was a member of the first graduating class from Badger High School in 1959. On November 27th, 1965, Betty was united into marriage to Herbert Shaeffer.
Betty spent most of her life working at Trostel’s manufacturing in Lake Geneva. When Betty wasn’t working, she loved to travel. In 2003 Betty ventured out on a wagon train.
Three children survive Betty: Nancy Peters of Minnesota, Bob Peters of Janesville, Wisconsin, and Doris Katzenberger of Darien, Wisconsin. Two grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren also survive Betty. Betty was proceeded in death by her husband of 15 years, Herbert. One brother, Lester Baker, and one sister, Geraldine McCulley also proceeded her in death.
Services for Betty will be held on Saturday November 27, 2021, at 2:00pm in the main chapel of Derrick Funeral Home in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held on November 27, 2021, from 12:00pm till the time of service.
