Barbara Anne (Swick) Purpura

Barbara A. Purpura, (nee Swick) 87, of Burlington, WI, formerly of Chicago and Thornton, IL passed away Monday January 17, 2022, at Aurora Medical Center of
Burlington. 

Barbara was born in Chicago, IL on May 11, 1934, the daughter of the late Jerome and Frances Swick.  She was united in marriage to Frank A. Purpura on September 5,
1953. He preceded her in death on April 21, 1989.  

Barbara was the loving mother of and is survived by: 4 sons; William (Mary) Purpura, Daniel (Anne) Purpura, Glenn (Christine) Purpura and Alan (Toni) Purpura,. She was
preceded in death by her parents and a brother Raymond (Mary) Swick.

Barbara is the proud Grandmother of Gregory, Carrianne (Drew) Nackers, Kyla, Bethany, Andrew, Hannah, Anna, and Jake; and Great-grandmother of Patrick, Marlee,
Jameson, Amelia, and Austin.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Raymond (Mary) Swick.

Barbara was a member of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Burlington, WI and of the Burlington Garden Club.  She served as a volunteer at Aurora Medical Center of
Burlington and was a longtime member of the Thornton, IL American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday January 26, 2022 at 1:00p.m. at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Burlington, WI.  Visitation will be Wednesday
10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. in the main Chapel of Derrick Funeral Home in Lake Geneva, WI.

In lieu of flowers Barbara requests that you plant a tree or flowers in your garden.
