William Giles Rogers Sr.

February 25, 1938 — October 20, 2025

Lake Geneva, Wisconsin

William Giles Rogers Sr., born on February 25, 1938, in Oak Park, Illinois, departed this world peacefully at his home on October 20, 2025, behind a legacy marked by love, dedication, and unwavering devotion to his family.

A distinguished career awaited William, who dedicated the majority of his professional life to the noble profession of Certified Public Accountant. With a diligent spirit and a keen intellect, he obtained his bachelor's degree in accounting from Loras College following his graduation from Oak Park High in 1956. His passion for numbers and finance not only propelled him into a successful career but also became a source of valuable wisdom shared with those around him.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, William served his country with honor during his six-and-a-half years in the Army Reserves, embodying the values of service and commitment that defined his character.

Outside of his career and service, William found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid golf and sports enthusiast, relishing in the excitement of games, particularly those involving the Cubs and the Bears. His love for the outdoors manifested in cherished moments spent fishing and boating with his beloved wife, Kathryn, with whom he celebrated an enduring marriage of 63 years. Their lives were filled with laughter, joy, and a spirit of camaraderie, further enriched as they enjoyed bowling together.

His love for family was profound and consistent throughout his life. He is survived by his devoted wife, Kathryn, and their four children: Kathleen (Carl) Rogers-Sarnacki, Deborah (Phillip) Nelson, William (Jennifer) Rogers Jr., and James (Valerie) Rogers. The family tree has blossomed under his care, growing to include nine grandchildren: Caroline (Josh) Sarnacki, Christopher (Lauren) Sarnacki, Kaitlin (Paco) Sarnacki, Abigail Sarnacki, Donny Sarnacki, Max (Misty) Rogers, Renae Rogers, Eva Rogers, and Nate Rogers. His legacy continues through the smiles and laughter of four great-grandchildren: Elaine, Benjamin, Annabelle, and Charlotte.

William's journey was also marked by the cherished memories of his parents, Giles and Rita (Ringuette) Rogers, who have preceded him in death, their love and values woven into the very fabric of his being.

A visitation with family will take place on October 28, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, located at 148 W Main St. Following the visitation, a Mass will commence at 11:00 AM, concluding at 12:00 PM, providing an opportunity for family and friends to come together in remembrance and celebration of William's remarkable life.
