William J. Motsinger

William J. Motsinger, 82, a long time resident of the Lake Geneva area, died Wednesday December 13, 2017 at Geneva Lake Manor in Lake Geneva.  William Motsinger was born in Freeport, IL on November 21, 1935 the son of the late Ernest and Mary (Kirby) Motsinger.  He was a graduate of Aquim Catholic High School in Freeport; he then graduated from Loras College in Dubuque, IA with a degree in Bio Chemistry.  On June 18, 1960 in DeWitt, IA he was united in marriage to the former Ursula Guinan.  He had worked for many years as a Research Chemist for C.P.C. in Argo, IL.

William was a member of Saint Francis deSales Catholic Church in Lake Geneva.  He was member of the Knights of Columbus in Downers Grove, IL.  He enjoyed golf and was a passionate Chicago Bears fan.   He was an avid fan of the University of Wisconsin sports.

William is survived by: Ursula, his wife of 57 years, 2 children; Joe (Joan) Motsinger of Boulder, CO and Anne (Tom) Tenney of Lake Geneva, WI, 5 grandchildren; Shannon and Logan Tenney and Madeline, Mackenzie and Matt Motsinger, a sister Mary Hearn of Madison, WI and Donald (Jeanne) Motsinger of  Janesville, WI.  He was preceded in death 3 brothers; Ernest, James and John.

Funeral Mass will be held on March 24th, 2018 at 10:00am at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church.  Derrick Funeral Home and Cremation Services is honored to be serving the Motsinger family.
