William Thomas Gogan Md

On Friday, January 15, 2021 William T. Gogan M.D. , loving  husband of Moira for 65+ years passed away peacefully at home in Williams Bay, Wisconsin . He was the beloved  father of Bill ( Katie) Siobhán ( Paul ) and Ruairi ( Selina). Bill was born in London,England on  May 27, 1928. He was the quiet and gentle brother of John,Ginty, Richard, Brian, Thelma and Kevin.  He attended the Brompton Oratory and later Trinity College Dublin where he received his degree in Medicine in 1955 . Bill and Moira were married that year . He came to the USA in 1956 where he was on staff at West Suburban Hospital which he came to love and was later the chief of staff . Besides his love of medicine he was a man of action whether flying his airplanes with his dear friend Jimmy or windsurfing in Lake Geneva. Bill & Moira were blessed with eight grandchildren , Sinéad, Brendan,Ailbhe, Colman,Fiona, Roisin ( Midge) , Declan and Conan. Due to the Covid crisis, the funeral will be private to keep everyone safe . Thank you to Samantha of the Transition  team and Agrace Hospice team for their kindness in our hour of need. Bill had a long history of a hearing deficit and he loved children so that is why we picked this charity . Please remember him as you knew him always smiling and kind.
