William P. Frantz, 99, of Linn Township, died Thursday July 9, 2015 at his home. William Paul Frantz was born on September 29, 1915 in Chicago, IL the son of the late Henry and Margaret (Boros) Frantz. He attended Waller High School in Chicago. On June 21, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois he was united in marriage to the former Helen Pflanz; she preceded him in death on December 30, 2006. He was a past member and president of the Chicago Kiwanis Club. He had been a Boy Scout leader for over 50 years and is recognized in the Boy Scout Hall of Fame.
William is survived by: 5 children; Margaret (Bill) Galberach of Lake Geneva, WI, Bill (Gail) Frantz of Lake Geneva, WI, Sandra (Ron) Robertson of Rhinelander, WI, Ken (Grace) Frantz of Prospect Heights, IL and Jim (Cathy) Frantz of Wheeling, IL, 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother Fred and his sister Elizabeth. Memorial services will be conducted at a later date. Derrick Funeral Home and Cremation Services is assisting the Frantz family with arrangements.
