William David Cirone

William David "Bill" Cirone, born on December 7, 1948, in Illinois, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2026, in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Though his given name was William, he was affectionately known to nearly everyone as Bill. His life was defined by dedication, integrity, an unwavering work ethic, and deep devotion to his family—a legacy that will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him.

Bill's journey began in Illinois, where he was raised and developed the strong values that guided him throughout his life. He attended Knox College, earning his bachelor's degree while also making his mark on the football field as a standout defensive end for the Knox College football team. His commitment, determination, and team-first attitude carried throughout his life.

Answering the call to serve, Bill joined the United States Army, where he proudly served his country and attained the rank of Captain before being honorably discharged. His service reflected his courage, discipline, and strong sense of duty.

Bill married Christine Benedetto, and together they built a loving family, raising three children—William, Allison, and Marissa. His family became the center of his world, and he took great pride in being a devoted husband, father, and later, grandfather. The love he shared with his family remained one of the defining joys of his life.

Following his military service, Bill built a successful career at Rapid Display. Through hard work, strong leadership, and dedication, he rose to the position of Vice President before retiring. His professional accomplishments reflected the same integrity, perseverance, and reliability that defined every aspect of his life.

Outside of work, Bill embraced life with enthusiasm and a wonderful sense of humor. He was known by family and friends as one of the biggest Chicago Bears fans anyone had ever met—DA BEARS!! He also had a love for simple pleasures, especially cannolis with chocolate chips and Italian sausage—favorites that became part of countless family gatherings and happy memories.

More than any professional accomplishment, Bill was most proud of his family. His love for his children and grandchildren was unconditional and always evident. He is survived by his son, William Cirone; his daughters, Allison Aparicio and Marissa Kosik; his sons-in-law, Michael Aparicio and Kevin Kosik; his future daughter-in-law, Caryn Griffith; and his fiancée, Debbie Marino. He also leaves behind his beloved and cherished grandchildren: Joseph Evans, Willow Cirone, Christopher Kosik, Olivia Aparicio, Ryan Aparicio, and Owen Aparicio. Each of them carries forward his legacy of kindness, resilience, laughter, and love.

William David "Bill" Cirone lived a life defined by service, loyalty, generosity, and love. As a father, grandfather, veteran, colleague, and friend, he touched countless lives with his strength of character, humor, and kindness. His memory and the values he shared will continue to live on in all who knew him.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the many prayers, kind words, and expressions of sympathy they have received during this difficult time. Your love and support have brought great comfort as they celebrate Bill's remarkable life.
