William Edward "Bill" Mccarron

William Edward “Bill” McCarron, age 87, of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at home on August 28th, 2025, with his beloved bride of 41 years by his side.

Bill was born in Medford, Wisconsin to Edward and Ethel McCarron (O'Neill) on November 12th, 1937.

Bill’s professional life was rich and varied, including work as a real estate broker, contractor, builder and developer.  He also proudly served his country in the United States Navy.  Deeply committed to his community, Bill was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, the Lions Club, and Kiwanis.

Outside of work and service, Bill found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid golfer, hunter, and loyal sports fan.

Bill is survived by his devoted wife, Jean (Brushel) McCarron; his sister Barbara (Karl) Dettmering; sisters-in-law Jan (Schwersenska) McCarron and Mary Carson Bumann; his children Mark McCarron, Bradley McCarron, Michael (Brad Gerber) McCarron, Kelly (Sarah) McCarron, and Melinda (Tate) Bowes; and his stepsons Sam Brushel and Noah (Laura) Brushel. He is further survived by eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two nieces, and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings James, Kerry, and Susan, his nephew Scott, granddaughter Angela, and brother-in-law James Carson.

Bill made an impact on every life he touched, with his warmth, humor, and generosity.  He was cherished and lovingly cared for, and when it was time, we handed him over to God.

His legacy of love, service, and family devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Service for Bill will be held on Wednesday, September 10th, 2025, at 11:30am at St. Francis De Sales Church in Lake Geneva.  Visitation will be held prior to the service at St. Francis De Sales from 9:30am until 11:30am.

Memorial donations in memory of Bill may be made to Ducks U nlimited, or McCrossan Boys Ranch.
