In Loving Memory of Bill Jenkins 1971 - 2023

Bill Jenkins, a loving father, son, brother, and friend, peacefully passed away on June 11th after bravely fighting an aggressive cancer. His spirit lives on through his cherished children, Liam and Seren Jenkins of Joliet, reminding us of the boundless love he shared. Bill is also survived by his beloved mother, Dale Anne Wright of Fontana, WI, his father, William Jenkins of Crest Hill, his sister Christine Pavalon, brother-in-law Jim Pavalon, and nieces Ava Baron, Brooke Pavalon, and Kendall Pavalon of Plainfield. Let us not forget his loyal best friend, Mike Cardwell of Joliet.

Bill’s children, Liam and Seren Jenkins, were the light of his life. He cherished every moment spent boating with Liam and playing with Seren, but above all, he treasured the laughter they shared. His love for his children was boundless.

Bill's passion for community service was evident in his active involvement with various clubs and associations. Whether it was offering a helping hand, sharing a laugh, or providing solace through prayer, Bill touched the lives of those he encountered, making them feel seen and valued.

A graduate of Joliet Catholic, where he played baseball and formed lifelong friendships, Bill pursued higher education at Xavier University.

In 2019, Bill embraced a new chapter of his life, moving to the Lake Geneva, WI area. The water brought him peace and immense joy. When he wasn't with his children or at work, he could be found on the lake, creating lasting memories and forming cherished friendships.

Reflecting on the summer of 2022, we recall one of Bill's happiest times. He was full of life, enjoying precious moments with his children, enjoying his job, and savoring every spare second on the water. This serves as a poignant reminder to live each day to the fullest, appreciating the present as the gift it truly is.

Bill's loving spirit, compassion, and commitment to community will forever be remembered. Let us honor his legacy by embracing the moments we have, cultivating deep friendships, and actively engaging in our communities. For no day is promised, and every day is an opportunity to make a difference, just as Bill did.

The family will be holding a memorial service in the upcoming months on the lake where Bill felt his highest peace.
