Wayne D. Parker, 74, of the Lake Geneva area passed away on April 11, 2025, at Lakeland Medical Center.
Wayne was born on January 15th, 1951 to the late William and Jo Ann (Hanak) Parker in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. Wayne attended Badger High School in Lake Geneva and was a member of the graduating class of 1969. After graduation Wayne entered the United States Army where he would serve from 1969 to 1971 in Vietnam.
Wayne returned to Lake Geneva after his time in the service where he started working for the City of Lake Geneva for the DPW. Wayne was a 30-year member of the City of Lake Geneva Fire Department retiring in early 2000. When Wayne wasn’t working, he could be found spending time at the garage
On September 10, 1988, Wayne was united into marriage to Terri Rae Johnson . Terri preceded Wayne in death on Thursday April 8, 2021.
Wayne is survived by his daughter Melissa (Michael) Mennenoh and his granddaughters Cassi and Camryn Mennenoh. Wayne’s siblings: Linda (Gene) Snyder of Flat Rock N.C., Michael Parker of Waterford, WI., Mark (Tonya) Parker of Blanchard, OK, Timothy Parker, and Scott (Cathy) Parker of Pell Lake WI., along with several nieces and nephews all will survive Wayne. Wayne was proceeded in death by his wife Terri, his brother Douglas, and his sister-in-law Karen.
Services for Wayne will be held on Saturday April 19th, 2025 at 12:00pm in the main chapel of Derrick Funeral Home. Visitation will be held starting at 10:00am the day of the service. Burial will immediatley follow at Oakhill Cemetery with Military Honors.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy the family has asked that you donate in Wayne's name to: Frank Kresen Post 24 of Lake Geneva.
