Thomas Michael Howe Jr.

October 11, 1969 — May 23, 2023

Thomas M. Howe, Jr., 53, of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, passed away, May 23rd, 2023, after a courageous battle with small bowel adenocarcinoma.

Tom was born October 11, 1969, to Thomas Sr. and Donna (Krilcich) Howe in Chicago, Illinois.  Tom graduated from Lemont High School in 1987.  After high school, Thomas attended College of St. Francis in Joliet, IL before transferring to Mississippi State University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing and played baseball.  He later went on to earn his Executive MBA degree at Auburn University in 2016.

Tom was a valued friend and employee at many places in his life including, Cog Hill Golf and Country Club in Lemont, IL for 23 years.  In 2018, Tom took over as the Director of Golf of Majestics Oaks, at Lake Lawn Resort, where he worked until he passed.

On June 24th, 2006, Thomas was united into marriage to the former Maureen O’Connor at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church in Lemont, IL.  They lived together in Joliet, IL and went on to have 3 beautiful children, Claire, Maggie and Patrick.  Tom was their biggest fan and greatest supporter.  Whether it was watching their sports teams, school events or planting in the garden, Tom loved spending time with his family.

Tom loved sports.  He especially loved playing baseball and golf.  He was most proud of his time playing for Mississippi State and being able to participate in the College World Series. When Tom wasn’t working, you could find him cheering on his favorite Chicago sports teams or in his garden. Thomas was a good friend, a good son, and a phenomenal father and husband.

Thomas is survived by his wife of 16 years, Maureen.  His children, Claire, Maggie, and Patrick, his mother, Donna of Homer Glen, IL, his sister Cheryl Howe of Owasso, OK, and brother, Christopher (Sarah) Howe also from Homer Glen, IL.  He is loved and remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and treasured friends. Tom was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Sr. in 2012.

Services for Tom will be held on Friday, June 2nd, 2023, at 11:00 am at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Fontana, Wisconsin.  Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lake Geneva.  Visitation will be held Thursday, June 1st, 2023, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the main chapel of Derrick Funeral Home.
