Susan M. (Montes) Montes Russell

June 13, 1958 — November 6, 2012

Susan M. Montes Russell, 54 of Lake Geneva, WI died Tuesday November 6 at Aurora V.N.A. Zilber Hospice in Wauwatosa, WI.  The former Susan Marie Montes was born on Chicago, IL on June 13, 1958 the daughter of John and Maxine (Cuevas) Montes.  She was a 1976 graduate of Nazareth Academy in LaGrange Park, IL.  On August 21, 1993 in Lake Geneva, WI she was united in marriage to Daniel W. Russell.  She had worked at Badger High School for several years, serving the kids their lunches every day.   She was a member of Saint Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Lake Geneva and was on the committee for the float for the Christmas parade for many years. She was also a Girl Scout leader for several years.  She loved to collect angels; however her happiest moments were spent with family and friends.
Sue is survived by: Dan her husband of 19 years, 2 children; Michael J. Russell and Kate J. Russell both of Lake Geneva, her mother Maxine Montes of Maywood, IL, a sister Jane (Joseph Kummer) Montes of Chicago, IL, 3 brothers John (Karen Klaneir) Montes of Lyons, WI, Thomas Montes of Chicago, IL and Jim (Christine Kenny) Montes of Evanston, IL.  She was preceded in death by her father.
Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Saturday November 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 148 Main St., Lake Geneva, WI; Father Angel Anaya will officiate; burial will follow in Saint Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Lyons, WI.  Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Derrick Funeral Home, 800 Park Dr., Lake Geneva, WI.  In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorials are requested in Sue’s name to: Susan B.
