Sue Ann Skeoch, née Ackerman, passed away on October 4, 2026, in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. She was born on July 26, 1939, in Anderson, Indiana, and lived a life marked by devotion to her family, faithful service, and warm involvement in the communities she called home.
A graduate of Anderson High School, Class of 1957, Sue carried with her the values of kindness, commitment, and connection throughout her life. In every town where she and her husband Gordon lived, she became involved with the Welcome Wagon committees, helping to greet others and build community. She also served as a deaconess of Linn Presbyterian Church, a role that reflected her steady faith and caring spirit. Alongside her service to others, Sue found enjoyment in being an active bridge player, sharing friendship and fellowship through the game she loved.
Above all, Sue was deeply proud of her family. She shared 67 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Gordon Skeoch, who lived faithfully by her side. Together they built a family that remained a lasting source of joy and pride in her life.
She is lovingly survived by her husband, Gordon; her children, Doug Skeoch, Don Skeoch, Shelly and Bill Schmitz, and Meg and Gordon Snyder; her seven grandchildren, Matt, Mike, Gordy, Grady, Shannon, Hayden, and Everett; and her four great-grandchildren, Scarlett, Baron, Ava and Sawyer. The love she held for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was one of the defining blessings of her life, and that love will remain with them always.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Margaret Ackerman, and by her brother, Ronald Ackerman.
She will be remembered with love for her welcoming heart, her faithful service, her enjoyment of time spent with others, and the deep pride she took in her family. Her life leaves behind a legacy of devotion, grace, and quiet strength that will continue to be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy the family has asked that you make a donation to Linn Presbyterian Church in her honor.
