Stewart L. Jossart, age 96, of Lake Geneva, WI, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2025. He was born on January 16, 1929, in Minocqua, WI, to Myrtle and Stewart Jossart. Stewart was the oldest of 11 children.

Stewart’s life was one of dedication, service, and community. He proudly served his country as a veteran of the Korean War, a chapter in his life that deeply influenced his values of duty and physical toughness. After returning from the war, Stewart worked for many years as a lineman with Commonwealth Edison in Chicago, where he made lasting friendships and earned the respect of those who worked alongside him.

In 1970, Stewart married the love of his life, Darlene Corrado, in Chicago. Together, they built a life full of love, laughter, and adventure. They shared 54 wonderful years together until Darlene’s passing in 2024. In the 1980s, Stewart and Darlene moved from Chicago to make their permanent home in Lake Como, WI, where Stewart embraced the small-town life and became a fixture in the community. He enjoyed socializing with friends and locals at nearby establishments, always ready with a joke or a friendly word.

Stewart is survived by his three children, his brother Lewe, and his sisters Helen Holzem and Alice Kosky. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews, all of whom will remember him fondly.

Stewart was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Darlene , his parents Myrtle and Stewart Jossart, as well as his brothers Arthur, Robert, and Larry, and sisters Shirley Harper, Ruth Fett, Janet Fox, and Barbara Gokey.

As per Stewart’s wishes there will be no service. He will be reunited with his wife Darlene in burial at St. Francis Cemetery, Lake Geneva, WI
