Stanley "Stan" F Albrecht

August 31, 1945 — June 10, 2025

Lake Geneva, Wisconsin

Stanley “Stan” Albrecht, a life long resident of Lake Geneva and man of great faith, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on June 10.

Born on August 31, 1945, to the late Edwin and Laura (Schmekel)  Albrecht, Stan lived a life defined by service, humility, and love for his family and community.

Stan married the love of his life, Lucy (née Baumeister), on September 4, 1965. Together, they built a life rooted in devotion, raising two sons, Brian (Sandy) Albrecht of Elkhorn, WI and Eric (Dina) Albrecht of Northbrook, IL. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Bailey (Matty), Nick, and twins Laura and William—each of whom brought him immense joy and purpose.

Affectionately known throughout the community as “Stan the Milk Man,” he delivered milk for many years earning not just a living, but the friendship and trust of countless neighbors along his route. Stan’s kindness and steady presence made him a beloved friend in the Lake Geneva area.

A faithful servant of God, Stan was a lifelong member of First Lutheran Church, where he participated in Bible study, served as a councilman and usher,  and volunteered generously with his time and heart. His faith was the foundation of his life and a guiding light in all that he did.

Stan found joy in the simple things—tending to his lawn, cooking up a storm in the kitchen, and most famously, crafting the best soup in the family. His split pea soup, especially adored by his granddaughter Laura, became a family tradition and a symbol of his love. He shared countless adventures and quiet moments with his grandchildren, often spotted running errands or sharing a treat at Culver’s—especially with grandson Nick.

Stan also had a fondness for the outdoors and spending time with family and friends on hunting trips.

Stan is also survived by his siblings Dwaine (RuthAnn), Robert (Marge), Dennis (Jan), and sister Darlene (Bill) Blosser. He was preceded in death by his wife Lucy and his sister Joanne.

To know Stan was to know kindness, quiet humor, and deep faith. He leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and integrity that will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to call him husband, dad, grandpa, brother, and friend.

He fought the good fight, he finished the race, he kept the faith.

—2 Timothy 4:7
