Sara Catherine Jeffers

Sara Catherine Jeffers was born on July 21, 1962 to Catherine (MacLean) and Dr Dean H Jeffers, Jr at Lakeland Hospital.  She enjoyed a wonderful childhood with great family friends in Lake Geneva.  Sara and these friends, Nancy (Twist), Dana (Grezenia),Kathy (Culp) and Lori (Quickel) graduated from Badger High School in 1980 and remained lifelong buddies.

Sara moved to Minnesota after spending a couple years attending school in WI to join her brother, Charlie, and sister, Lucretia. She graduated as a dental assistant and began her career at Eagan Valley Dental.  When this work became more difficult, due to complications from Type I Diabetes, she enjoyed working at the University of MN.

Sara was an incredibly caring and loving light to everyone she met.  Her spirit and ability to rise above her struggles serves as an example to all of us how a grateful heart lives each day.  She was the absolutely #1 “Auntie” to her niece, Sara, and nephew, John, showing them what unconditional love meant throughout her life.

Sara is survived by her sister, Lucretia (Steve Anderson), brother, Charlie (Jackie Nesbitt) nephew, John and niece, Sara (Tim Hawkinson) and great-niece, Audrey. Also, her aunt (Jeanne MacLean) and cousins, Martha, Dan and Sherley MacLean, Tom Kneisler and Mark and Greg Jeffers... and many friends.

There will be a “Celebration of A Life Well Lived” on Saturday, Nov 23rd at Bella Vista in Lake Geneva from 2-5PM, with an opportunity to share Sadie stories at 3:30.  If you are so moved, memorials to the American Diabetes Association would be nice.
