Sandra Gray Mcguinness

Sandra "Sandy" McGuinness, aged 80, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2025 in Elkhorn, Wisconsin surrounded by family. Born on 9/15/1944 in White Plains, NY her family shortly after moved to Grayslake, IL. Sandy graduated from UW-Madison with a fine arts degree. She then was hired by Lerner Newspaper in Chicago, where she met her loving husband, John McGuinness. They were married on June 22, 1968. After welcoming their two sons to the world, John & Sandy relocated from Chicago to Williams Bay, Wi.

Known for her caring and hardworking nature, she consistently wanted to help others. Sandy is preceded in death by her husband John , her brother Bill Shepanek, and her Mother Connie Shepanek. Sandy is survived by her sister Susie Shepanek, Sons Mike McGuinness (fiancé Shana) and Matt (Megan) McGuinness and grandchildren Eli, Lee & John McGuinness.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St Francis Church in Lake Geneva, Wi at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 9.
