Born in Budapest, Hungary December 21, 1935 he escaped communism and emigrated to Canada with his new wife Theresa in 1957. He worked diligently to learn English and was accepted to Sr. George Williams University in Montreal, Quebec as a student of civil engineering. One project he particularly relished was the Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, CA where he proudly earned a personalized Disney Construction helmet. He was a man who loved nature and enjoyed his time at the cabin he built in Southeastern Quebec. Alex retired to Lake Geneva, Wisconsin to his lifelong dream of designing and building his beautiful home where he and his wife hosted many elaborate gatherings and holidays with the family he loved.
