Salvatore A. “Sal” Sardina, 58, of Lake Geneva, WI, died Friday March 25, 2016 at his home. Salvatore Antonio Sardina was born September 15, 1957 in Aspra, Sicily the son of Giacomo and Guissepa (Tulipani) Sardina. He graduated from McKinley High School in Milwaukee and then from the University of Michigan with a degree in Hospitality Management. On October 24, 1994, in Waukegan, IL, he was united in marriage to the former Donna Balch. He was the owner of Corleone's Restaurant in Lake Geneva and was owner also of Geneva Hospitality in Lake Geneva. He was an avid and talented bowler. He was active in the Lake Geneva B.I.D. district and was President of the Lake Geneva Beautification Committee. He was proud that when he was on the committee the fountain in front of the Riviera was donated to the city. He also was on the Piers and Harbor Commission in Lake Geneva. Sal is survived by: Donna, his wife of 21 years, 2 children; Josephine (Daniel) Contreras of Greenfield, WI and a son Salvatore (Shelle) Sardina of Lake Geneva, by his parents Giacomo and Guissepa Sardina of Greenfield, WI, 3 grandchildren; Juan Saucedo, Joey Behmke and Siciliana Sardina, 2 brothers Peter (Andrea) Sardina of Oconomowoc, WI and Joe (Jackie) Sardina of Greenfield, WI, 5 nephews; Giacomo, Peter, David, Jojo and Anthony and 2 nieces; Allasandra and Samantha. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday March 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Francis deSales Catholic Church in Lake Geneva; Father Jim Scheurman will officiate. Entombment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Derrick Funeral Home in Lake Geneva.
