Ruth M. (Gile) Lenon

Ruth M. Lenon, 89, a lifelong resident of Lake Geneva, died Sunday December 16, 2102 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn. The former Ruth Marie Gile was born in Lake Geneva, WI on September 30, 1923 the daughter of the late Fred and Mabel (Bingham) Gile. She was a 1941 graduate of Lake Geneva High School. She was a member of Saint Francis de Sales Catholic Church. She was active in the Walworth County Association for Retarded Citizens. She was a Hillmoor Ladies Club Champion on more than one occasion and had 3 holes in one. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends. Her happiest times were spent with her family.
Ruth is survived by: 6 children; David Lenon of Alexandria, VA, Brian (Mary) Lenon of Waupaca, WI, Mary Smith of Lake Geneva, WI, Patrick Lenon of Madison, WI, Kathleen (Ron Sojka) Lenon of Lake Geneva, WI, and Maureen Lenon of Jefferson, WI, 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and a sister Doris Mraz of North Fort Meyers, FL. She was preceded in death by: 2 children; Sharon and William and 4 brothers; Smith, Forrest, Lyle and John Gile.
Mass of Christian Burial will be said Wednesday December 19, 2012 at 12:30 p.m. at Saint Francis de Sales Catholic Church; Father Angel Anaya will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday, in church, from 10:30 a.m. until time of services.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorials are requested in Ruth’s name to: Saint Coletta of Wisconsin, N6437 County Rd. Y, Jefferson, WI 53549 or the Walworth County Association for Retarded Citizens, Elkhorn, WI 53121. Derrick Funeral Home in Lake Geneva is assisting the Lenon family with arrangements.
