Ronald John Bloch, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, was born on June 29, 1935, in the vibrant city of Chicago, Illinois. He was a man of remarkable integrity and warmth, who poured his heart into all facets of life. Ronald's journey on this earth came to a peaceful close at his beloved home on September 17, 2025, leaving behind a legacy that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.
Ronald was a proud graduate of Carl Shurz High School, Class of 1955, where he first discovered his competitive spirit and lifelong passion for learning. On June 18, 1960, he united in marriage with Carolyn Wisniewski, marking the beginning of a remarkable 65-year partnership founded on love and mutual respect. Together, they built a life steeped in family values and shared experiences.
In his professional life, Ronald ascended to the role of vice president at a custom cabinet company, a position that reflected not only his expertise but also his unwavering dedication to his craft. Retirement afforded him newfound time, which he savored alongside loved ones and in the scenic embrace of Lake Como—a cherished escape that brought him joy and peace.
Family meant everything to Ronald. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Carolyn, and two loving children, Eric (Diane) Bloch and Laura (Michael) Helm. His legacy is further enriched by the laughter and joy of six adoring grandchildren and one great grandchild, all of whom brought untold happiness to his life.
Yet, within this tapestry of love and kinship is a poignant thread of sorrow. Ronald is preceded in death by his son, Steven, who left this world too soon in 2010, his parents, Erwin and Florence, and his brother, Robert, each of whom occupies a sacred space in the memories of those who adored them.
As the sun sets on Ronald John Bloch’s remarkable journey, he is remembered not just for his significant accomplishments but for the boundless love he shared with his family. His spirit will forever echo in the laughter of his grandchildren, the gentle ripples of Lake Como, and the hearts of those privileged to call him family and friend. He leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire, a testament to a life well-lived in the embrace of all that mattered most.
