Robert R. Wasser

Robert R. Wasser, 71, of Mulberry, FL, formerly of Lake Geneva, died Friday May 8, 2015 in Nashville, TN.  Robert Russell Wasser was born in Harvard, IL on September 4, 1943 the son of the late Gilbert and Ruth (Geffee) Wasser.  He graduated from Big Foot High School in Walworth, WI in 1961.  He then attended Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN where he earned his Staff Minister Certification.  On November 16, 1963 in Harvard, IL he was united in Marriage to the former Bonnie Lahman.  He Was Executive Director of Calvary Academy Ministries and President of Calvary Academy Foundation both in Mulberry, Fl.  He was a member of Living Savior Lutheran Church in Valrico, FL and a former member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lake Geneva.  He was active in many church organizations.  He was a former member of the Walworth Fontana Rotary Club.  He enjoyed working outside gardening and landscaping.
Robert is survived by: Bonnie, his wife of 53 years, 25 children; Rob, Craig, Steve, Sari, Heidi, Tamara, Tanya, Bryan, Joshua, Shannon, Heather, Tracy, Sherry, Carey, Tara, Jacinda, Megan, Nicholas, Summer, Brent, Samantha, Ashley, Alison, Paul and Jenna, 37 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, a sister Donna (John) Williams and a brother Daniel Wasser of Las Cruces, NM.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday May 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lake Geneva; Pastor Karl Schultz will officiate.  Burial will be in Memory Gardens and Mausoleum in Arlington Heights, IL.  The Wasser family will receive visitors Thursday, in church, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.  In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorials are requested in Roberts name to: Calvary Academy Ministries, 5400 Bethlehem Rd.
