Robert Jay Shy

Bob Shy, of Lake Geneva area, passed away on July 21, 2024, at age 76. Loving Father of Nicole (Michael Sherman) Shy and Grandfather of Becher Sherman. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mabel [Baldridge] Shy, and his brothers William and Richard Shy.

Bob grew up in Portsmouth, OH and volunteered his service in the United States Marine Corps. He graduated from the Coyne American Institute in Chicago, IL, and went on to hold various positions in refrigeration systems technologies, including owning his own service business “Chill Refrigeration” in the Lake Geneva area. Bob was also a talented carpenter- always willing to lend a hand- and a lover of nature.  Above all, Bob will be remembered for his kind, peaceful and generous spirit that touched all that knew him and loved him.

A memorial gathering will be held at St. Francis de Sales on Wednesday July 31, 2024, from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM with a Memorial Mass following at 11:00 AM.
