Robert L. Schofield

Robert J. Schofield, 86, a lifelong resident of the Lake Geneva area, died Saturday April 18, 2015 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center.  Robert Louis Schofield was born in Lake Geneva, WI on May 6, 1928 the son of the late James and Lulu (Carr) Schofield.  He graduated from Lake Geneva High School in 1946.  He served with the United States Army for 2 years serving with the Counter Intelligence Corps in Baltimore, MD  On September 19, 1953 in Fall River, MA he was united in marriage to the former Cynthia Betagh.  He had worked as an engineer for Wisconsin Power and Light Company in Lake Geneva for many years.  He and his wife ran Schofield Apple Orchard near Lake Geneva.  Bob was the second President of the Lake Geneva Jaycees.  He was a member of the Pioneer Club of Wisconsin Power and Light Company.  He also was a former member of the Wisconsin Flying Farmers Club.
Bob is survived by Cynthia, his wife of 61 years.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Marion Read.  Per Bob’s request there will be no services.  Derrick Funeral Home and Cremation Services is assisting the Schofield family with arrangements.  To sign the on-line guest registry click view/sign condolence book at the bottom of this page
