Robert Alan Ross Sr.

Robert A. Ross Sr., 80, of the Lake Geneva area passed away at his home on July 1, 2021.

Born Robert Alan Ross to the late Harold and Barbara (Ferth) Ross on June 30th, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois.  Robert was a member of the graduating class of 1960 from Austin High School in Chicago.   On June 30th, 1962, Robert was married to Diane Marie Twarowski at St. Philomena Church in Chicago, Illinois.

Robert was known as a brutality honest man, never holding back his opinion on anything.  Robert loved the horse Titan and was a collector of many things, Camping equipment, Guitars, and especially fishing gear.  Robert would spend hours in his basement organizing his collection of fishing bobbers and fishing lures. Robert was a member of Walley Unlimited in both Illinois and Wisconsin chapters.

Robert’s wife of 59 years, Diane, survives him.  Three children; Robert (Missy) Ross Jr. of Lake Villa, Illinois; Kim (Jim) Ratway of Woodstock, Illinois; and Kurt (Lindsay) Ross of Fox River Grove, Illinois all survive Robert.   9 grandchildren; Sophie and Tristan Ross; Jimmy and Kyle Ratway; Hana and Gavin Ross; Evelyn, Vanessa, and Elena Perez along with one sister: Shirley (Bob) Benhegyi of Lockport, Illinois all survive Robert.

Services for Robert will be held on Friday July 16th, 2021, at 12:00pm at Como Community Church, Pastor Bob Kamps will be leading the service.  Visitation will be held on Friday July 16th from 11:00am till 12:00pm at the church.  A luncheon will follow at approximately 1:00pm.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy the family has asked that you make a donation to Smiles Therapeutic Riding in Darien, Wisconsin.  Information is posted below on where to send you donation.
