Robert Edward Larsen

We lost an irreplaceable soul on July 14, 2026, with the passing of Robert Larsen. Born on May 27, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois, Bob brought with him a gift for laughter and deep connection that touched all who knew him. 

Bob’s story is woven together by the simple but meaningful threads of passion, wit, and unwavering devotion. Those closest to him—his beloved wife, Carol and son, David —remember a husband and father who had a strong faith in Jehovah God. He truly believed in God‘s promise of a day of resurrection when those in God‘s memory will be called from the grave to live again.  Bob was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on July 31, 1970.

Bob’s life was threaded with joy and sorrows, triumphs, and challenges, including the loss of his son, Jeremy, and his son Eric. They left a huge void in his heart. He was the beloved grandfather of Noah Larsen and Hannah Martinak and great grandfather to Waylon Martinak. 

Among his many passions, Bob’s love for horses stands out. Whether working with these noble animals or simply being near them, he found a quiet peace. Another of Bob’s great gifts was his ability to tell captivating stories—a quality that endeared him to friends and family alike. 

But perhaps what Bob will be remembered for most is his unique sense of humor. His jokes and playful outlook lightened burdens and created special bonds that cannot be replaced. To know Bob was to know joy—the kind that comes from seeing the world through a slightly crooked grin and finding reasons to laugh even when life gets hard. One of his favorite things to say was “I would rather laugh than cry”.

Bob Larsen’s life was a reminder of how one person’s light can profoundly affect everyone who crosses their path. His loving nature, the stories he spun, his passion for horses, and his infectious humor will live on within all who were fortunate enough to have shared a piece of the journey by his side.

Though the days ahead will be marked by longing, we will be grateful for every memory, every lesson, and every moment of affection. Bob’s absence leaves a space that can never be filled, but he remains forever present in the hearts of Carol, David, and all who loved him.

May the laughter he shared, the stories he told, and the love he gave endure as a testament to a wonderful life fully lived.

Service for Bob will be held on Saturday, August 8th at 2:00 pm at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 12735 Richmond Rd, Twin Lakes, WI 53181
