Robert J. Fritch Sr., 89, of Lake Geneva, WI, died Wednesday August 21, 2013 at his home. Robert John Fritch was born in Park Ridge, Illinois on January 31, 1924 the son of the late John and Hattie (Mietzel) Fritch. He graduated from Main East High School in Park Ridge, IL in 1942. He was a Veteran of World War II and the Korean War serving as a gunner with the United States Navy Air Corps. On February 14, 1954 in Chicago, IL he was united in marriage to the former Virginia Sarosta. He had worked as an organ repairman with the Hammond Organ Company in Chicago, IL for many years. He was a Boy Scout Leader in Lake Zurich, IL for several years and was a lifelong Chicago Cubs Fan.
Robert is survived by: Virginia, his wife of 59 years, 3 children; Susan (Ed) McIntosh of Georgetown, TX, Robert (Nancy) Fritch Jr. of McHenry, IL and Tammy Fritch of McHenry, IL, 6 grandchildren; Scott, Erin, Preston, Jon, Sarah and Emily and a great-granddaughter Baily. He was preceded in death by an infant son and 2 sisters; Lorraine Von Bergen and Marge Tollman.
Private family services will be held at Windridge Memorial Park in Cary, IL.
