Richard W. Sievert, Sr. 77, of Lake Geneva, WI, died Wednesday April 2, 2014 at his home. Richard William Sievert was born in Chicago, IL on June 1, 1936 the son of the late Bernard and Dorothy (Tapper) Sievert. He graduated from Glenbard West High School in Glen Ellyn, IL in 1954. On November 14, 1956 he was united in marriage to the former Marilyn Flint. He was President and owner of the family business, Sievert Corporation in Schaumburg, IL. He was a family man who loved his family, gardening and loved being in Wisconsin.
Richard is survived by: Marilyn, his wife of 57 years, 3 children; Pamela (Michael) Gart of Wilmette, IL, Cynthia (Christopher) Jones of Delavan, WI and Richard W. (Alicia) Sievert Jr., 7 grandchildren; Laura and Jennifer Gart, Matthew, Mark and Sarah Sievert and Samantha and Tyler Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Carol Moore.
Services will be held on Saturday April 5, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. in Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lake Geneva; Pastor Mark Moller-Gunderson will officiate. Entombment will follow in Roselawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday, in church, from 9:30 a.m. until time of services. In Lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorials are requested in Richard’s name to: The Vince Lombardi Cancer Center in Elkhorn, WI or Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lake Geneva.
