Richard F. Rurey, 73, of Linn Township passed away at his home on Friday August 23rd, 2013. Richard Francis Rurey was born September 5th, 1939 to the late Donald and Angela (Coppersmith) Rurey in Milwaukee, WI. Richard graduated from Burlington High School in 1957. Richard also attended the University of Whitewater and Northern Illinois University. Richard was united into marriage to Sandra Zeinemann on March 17th, 1961 in Park Ridge Illinois.
Richard is survived by his wife of 52 years Sandra. He is also survived by 4 children: Dawn Smith of Lakemoor, Ill, Timothy (Elizabeth) Rurey of Boynton Beach, FL, Pamela (Kurt) Lundstedt of Hawthorne Woods, Ill, and Andrew (Kristy) Rurey of Delavan, WI. Richard is also survived by 7 Grandchildren and 1 sister, Janet (Everett) Bladow of Elkhorn, WI. Richard was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Angela Rurey and 1 sister, Donna Iselin.
Service for Richard will be held on Saturday the 7th of September 2013 in the chapel of the United Methodist Church of Lake Geneva at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Keith Aurand will be officiating. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy the family has asked that you make a charitable donation in Richards name to the Wisconsin Parkinson’s Association or to the United Methodist Church Elevator Fund.
