Richard L. Rice

Richard L. Rice, 91, of Pompano Beach, FL, formerly of Lake Geneva, WI, died Tuesday August 27, 2013 in Pompano Beach, FL.  Richard Lumm Rice was born in Wauseon, OH on March 3, 1922 the son of the late Alwin and Emma (Lumm) Rice. He was a Veteran of World War II serving with the United States Army Air Corps in the European Theater of Operations.  Following discharge from the service in 1946 he started working as an automobile salesman. He worked in Toledo and Bowling Green, OH and Delavan, WI.  He owned and operated his own used car dealership for several years in Toledo, OH.  He served as President of Frontier Ford in Swanton, OH until the death of his wife in 1966, at which time he moved to Lake Geneva, WI.  It was here that he met Clementine Braden who he married in 1978.
He was a Master Mason in Maumee, OH, a member of the Scottish Rite of Lake Worth, FL and a member of Miami Temple Aaonms of Miami, FL.
Dick is survived by; his wife Clementine, a sister Bonnie Buckley of Toledo, OH, a step-daughter Bonnie (David) Brown of Bluffton, SC and 2 grandsons Steven and Scott.  He was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Donald and Herbert.
