Richard L. Mcarthur

Richard L. McArthur, 91, of Linn Township, died Sunday September 27, 2015 at Mercy Walworth Hospital. Richard Louis McArthur was born July 10, 1924 in Chicago, IL the son of the late James and Margaret (Carmody) McArthur. He graduated from Austin High School in Chicago in 1942. He was a Veteran of World War II serving with the United States Army as an MP in the European Theater. On November 13, 1945 in Chicago, IL he was united in marriage to the former Elizabeth Jane Carey; she preceded him in death on September 21, 1995. He had been a police officer with the Chicago Police Department. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Chicago.
Richard is survived by: a daughter Mary Kay (Kirk) Bland of Lake Geneva, WI, 4 grandchildren; Amy, Robert, Bonnie and Joseph, and 3 nieces; Marilyn Sue, Jo Marie and Nancy. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers; John, Jim, Joe, and Archie and 2 sisters; Robena and Margaret.
