Richard D. Jennings Jr., 63, of the Lake Geneva area and formerly of Palos Heights, Illinois died at his home on Saturday January 21, 2017.

Born Richard David Jennings Junior to the late Richard and Mary (Prendiville) Jennings on January 19th, 1954.  Richard attended Marist High School in Allsip, Illinois.

Richard was a man who was well traveled and enjoyed life’s great adventures.  Richard was a ships captain guiding boats all over the world when and wherever he was needed.  Richard was an outdoorsman.  No matter where Richard was and no matter what he was doing Richard always carried and kept his Rosary beads close by.

6 sisters survive Richard: Mary Jennings of Oak Lawn, Illinois: Therese (Bart) Johnson of Palos Heights, Illinois; Veronica (Brian) McCarthy of Homerglen, Illinois; Cathy (James) Clarke of County Caven, Ireland; Nancy Campbell of Oak Lawn, Illinois; and Julie Faley of Oak Lawn, Illinois.  Richard was preceded in death by his parent and 2 brothers; Robert Jennings and Michael Jennings.

Services for Richard will be held on Thursday January 26, 2017 at 10:00am at Our Lady of the Ridge Catholic Church, 10820 South Oxford, Chicago Ridge, Illinois, 60415.  Visitation will be held from 9:00am till the time of service.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy the family has asked that you have a mass said in Richards name at a church of your choosing.
