Richard Baughn Eckardt

Richard Eckardt, 72, of the Lake Geneva area passed away at his home on August 26, 2023.

Richard was born on August 17, 1951, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Paul and Helen (Baughn) Eckardt. Richard was a member of the graduating class of 1969 from Main East High School.  After high school Richard attended Loyola University where he achieved his bachelor’s degree in psychology.    ON May 18th, 1980, Richard was united into marriage to Sandra Zaucha in Park Ridge, Illinois.

Richard worked as a salesman in the paper industry.  He had a love of Classic Rock, Classic Cars, World War II History.  Richard was a sports guy and followed the Kansas City Chiefs, the Chicago Cubs and loved to play and watch a good game of Soccer.

Richard is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sandra.  One child: Kimberly (Jason) Reagle, two grandchildren: Andrew and Lucas: along with one brother, John (Vickie) Eckardt all survive Richard.

Private family services will be held later.
