Rena L. (Lasch) Foltz

Rena L. Foltz, 88, a lifelong resident of the Lake Geneva Area, died Thursday August 7, 2014 at her home.  The former Rena Lucille Lasch was born in Lyons Township on February 19, 1926 the daughter of the late Walter and Bernice (Travis) Lasch.  She graduated from Elkhorn High School in 1944.  On January 25, 1947 in Elkhorn, WI she was united in marriage to Harry J. Foltz; he preceded her in death on January 8, 2012.  She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Pell Lake, WI and a member and Past President of the Women of the Church.  She was the Volunteer coordinator at the Lake Geneva Public Library from 1986-2013 and a member of the Friends of the Library.  She was a member of the Lake Geneva Junior Women’s Club.  She was a charter member and member of the board of the Woodlands Conservancy.  She was a Patron member of Lakeland Animal Welfare Society.
Rena is survived by: 2 sons; Steven (Patricia) Foltz of Oregon, WI and Timothy Foltz of Lake Geneva, WI, a granddaughter Jessica (Scott) Yilek, a great-grandchild and a sister Blanche Klaen of Elkhorn, WI.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a sister Phyllis Utter.
Private family services will be held.  In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorials are requested in Rena’s name to: Lakeland Animal Shelter or Touched by a Paw.  Derrick Funeral Home and Cremation Services is assisting the Foltz family with arrangements.  To sign the on-line guest registry please click view/sign condolence book at the bottom of this page.
