Ralph Clayton Scotney III
Born to this life March 14, 1939
Departed this life July 15, 2024
Born in Washington, DC in 1939, Ralph actually grew up in Maryland on the Eastern Shore and later moved to West Philadelphia, PA. While living there, he attended Friends Central School, a private high school grounded in intellectual, spiritual, and ethical values. Upon graduation, he attended Villanova University, graduating from night school with a Business degree while raising a family and beginning his working career as a commercial sales representative at Philadelphia Electric Company from which he retired in 1994.
Ralph moved to Northeast, Maryland in the early 1980s where he and his family enjoyed sailing on the Chesapeake Bay, working in the yard, music, Star Wars movies, and spending time with his childhood best friend Sid. He was a strong advocate of education and hard work who was also a loving father and a great friend who always stuck to his convictions and taught his children to do the same.
During his retirement, Ralph moved to Wisconsin to be closer to his children and grandchildren and found many new friends with whom he played Bridge, Bunko, and Bingo in between family visits.
Ralph is greatly missed by his son David (Amy), his daughters Jayne (Bryan) and Leisa (Kevin), and his grandchildren, Alicia, Ashley, Johnathan, Brooke, and Olivia.
Services for Ralph are pending at this time.
