Ralph W. Dale, 83 a lifelong resident of Lake Geneva, WI died Tuesday October 16, 2012 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn, WI. Ralph Walter Dale was born in Geneva Township on August 10, 1929 the son of the late Walter and Marion (Brooks) Dale. He graduated from Lake Geneva High School in 1947. On September 6, 1952 at the United Methodist Church in Lake Geneva he was united in marriage to the former Beatrice Van Dyke. He was a Veteran of the Korean War serving with the United States Navy. He owned and operated Walter Dale Inc. heating and air conditioning in Lake Geneva for many years.
Ralph was a member of Frank Kresen American Legion Post #24 in Lake Geneva. He had been active in boy scouting for many years and as a Boy Scout he was the 3rd Eagle Scout in troop #35. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ralph is survived by: Bea, his wife of 60 years, Mary (Ed) Zwiebel of Lake Geneva, WI and Robert (Carolyn Knop) Dale of East Troy, WI, 2 grandchildren; Brad (Nicole) Champeny and Bob (Alicia) Champeny, 3 great-grandchildren; Mikayla, Tyler, and Fiona, and a sister Audrey (David) Dean of Madison, WI. He was preceded in death by a brother Richard.
A Celebration of Ralph’s life will be held on Saturday November 3, 2012 in the chapel at Derrick Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Lake Geneva; Reverend Keith Aurand Pastor of the Lake Geneva United Methodist Church will officiate. The Dale family will receive visitors Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until time of services. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorials are requested in Ralph’s name to: V.N.A.
